Venue finder, London
London venues, found and held before the meeting ends.
London has more corporate venues than anyone can hold in their head, and most of them answer email slowly. Comtev searches the whole city against your brief, asks every venue on the shortlist for your dates and handles the replies. A conference room in the City, a Christmas party in Shoreditch or an all-hands in King's Cross gets shortlisted, priced and held in the time it used to take to write the enquiry.
Free to start, plans from £79 a month, priced in pounds. No commission from any London venue.

The fastest way to find a corporate venue in London is to let software do the first three days of the work. Comtev reads your brief, shortlists venues across London by capacity, area, layout and budget, requests availability from each one over WhatsApp, SMS, email or phone, negotiates the rate and confirms the booking for you. It is free to start, with plans from £79 a month, and it takes no commission from the venue, which is the opposite of how most London venue finders are paid.
How a London brief becomes a held date.
- 01
Tell it the London you mean.
Zone 1 only, walkable from Liverpool Street, near a particular client, or anywhere with a decent late licence. Comtev takes the brief the way you would say it.
- 02
Get a shortlist that knows London.
Capacity fit, nearest stations, whether the room works for a plenary and breakouts, minimum spends, and the things that catch people out, such as load-in windows and the 11pm music cut-off.
- 03
Dates asked for, replies handled.
Every venue on the shortlist is asked for your dates in the same hour. Comtev chases the ones that go quiet, reads the replies back into the list and flags the holds.
- 04
Confirm, then forget the inbox.
Pick one. Comtev negotiates, confirms the booking with the venue and puts the cost into a budget your approver signs off. Christmas parties included.
A London venue-finding service, and Comtev.
| Topic | London venue-finding service | Comtev |
|---|---|---|
| How they are paid | Commission from the venue, or a venue subscription | A monthly plan from you, free to start. The venue pays nothing |
| What is searched | The venues on their books | The open market, including venues no platform lists |
| Time to a shortlist | A call, then one to three days | Minutes |
| Availability | Enquiries sent one at a time | All venues asked at once, chased automatically |
| Negotiation and booking | Varies by account manager | Comtev negotiates and confirms; spend waits for your approver |
| Everything else | Separate suppliers, separate emails | Catering, AV, hotel rooms and flights priced into the same budget |
Hire Space, HeadBox and Tagvenue publish venue-side pricing on their own sites, as listing subscriptions or commission on bookings. None of that is wrong. It just means the venue, not the finder, is the paying customer.
Built for the events London teams actually run.
Every plan has the tools below. Nothing here is a roadmap.
- Christmas party venues, sorted in OctoberSearches by late licence, minimum spend per head, dance floor and private hire, asks for availability across the dates you can live with, and compares the per-head cost in one table.01
- Conference venues that fit the agendaPlenary plus breakouts, AV in the room or brought in, a day delegate rate against room hire plus catering. Comtev prices both ways so you can see which is cheaper for your numbers.02
- Travel built into the venue decisionA venue near King's Cross can be cheaper overall than a cheaper venue in Canary Wharf once you price 60 people's journeys. Comtev shows the whole number.03
- Hotels for the people coming inRoom blocks compared and awarded under approval, next to the venue cost, for the attendees travelling into London.04
- One budget, one approverVenue, catering, AV, rooms and travel in one live budget with scenarios. A frozen proposal goes to finance, and nothing is charged until they say yes.05

Which parts of London does the venue finder cover?
All of it. Comtev searches the open market rather than a partner catalogue, so the City, Westminster, Shoreditch, King's Cross, Canary Wharf, the South Bank and the outer boroughs are all in scope. You can also constrain it to a postcode or a walk time from a station.
Can it find a Christmas party venue in London at short notice?
Yes, and short notice is where asking every venue at once matters most. Comtev requests availability from the whole shortlist in the same hour and flags who can still take your date.
Does it work for conferences and all-hands as well as parties?
Yes. Give it the agenda shape, such as plenary, breakouts and dinner, plus the headcount, and it shortlists spaces that fit, priced as a day delegate rate or as room hire plus catering so you can compare.
How is this different from Hire Space or HeadBox?
They are venue marketplaces, paid by venues through commission or subscriptions, and good at browsing. Comtev is paid by you, searches beyond any one catalogue, requests availability and negotiates for you, and puts the venue in the same budget as travel, catering and approvals.
Will Comtev talk to the venue for me?
Yes. Availability requests, follow-ups, negotiation and confirmation happen over WhatsApp, SMS, email or a call, and every message is logged on the event so you can read the thread without having been in it.
What does it cost?
Free to start, then plans from £79 a month, priced in pounds, whatever the venue costs. Enterprise plans exist for teams running many events a year.
